Mr. Grylls
asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will ensure that the payment due to Mr. A. E. Lemon, of Camberley, Surrey, from the Manpower Services Commission, as recommended in the report from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration on 28th October 1976 (C307/K) to the hon. Member for Surrey, North-West, is made immediately.
Mr. Golding
I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that authority has now been given for an exgratia payment to be made to Mr. Lemon. Arrangements for an initial payment based on the allowable expenses which he has already incurred will be put in hand immediately. A further payment will become due when the family removal has been completed and the necessary information has been provided by Mr. Lemon.
