The Department's outline proposal to establish an Advisory Council for Adult and Continuing Education has received widespread support from the many bodies consulted. I am now issuing a paper embodying my conclusions, which will form the basis of discussions on matters of detail with the major interested parties and enable me to make the final arrangements for the setting up of this body.
