asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if, in correspondence with persons living in rural areas of Northern Ireland, it is the practice of departments under his control to use the town land name.

The practice varies depending upon whether the town land name is included in any official record on which the correspondence is based or on whether the correspondent himself uses the town-land name.
