asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish a list of the research in the last five years undertaken by his Department, and those projects funded by his Department and carried out by other bodies into the causes of damp in modern buildings and feasible curative action.

Over 40 research projects in this field have been undertaken or supported by my Department in the last five years. I will send the hon. Member a list. The Building Research Establishment publishes an annual account of its research programme, which provides further details.
