asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is satisfied with the time scale of the Farm Price Review negotiations in view of the fact that the majority of crops will have been planted before the prices are announced.

We would have preferred to have been able to announce the new prices at the end of March, but, for reasons which have already been explained to the House, that was not possible.
