Film Industry (Interim Action Committee)

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will announce the names of the members of the Interim Action Committee on the Film Industry.

The Interim Action Committee which is to be chaired by my right hon. Friend the Member for Huyton (Sir H. Wilson) and which will follow up progress made by the Terry Report on the Future of the British Film Industry will have the following members:

  • Sir Max Brown
  • Edmond Chilton
  • Michael Deeley
  • Lord Delfont
  • Lady Falkender
  • David Gordon
  • Allan Grant
  • Lord Lloyd of Hampstead QC
  • Anthony Mallinson
  • Alasdair Milne
  • David Puttnam
  • Alan Sapper
  • Professor Geoffrey Sims
  • Sir John Terry
  • Brian Tesler
  • Alexander Walker
Appointments are for an indefinite period and members will be unpaid.

from the police force in that country during the past five years.

asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) what was the number and value of British motor cycles exported to the Federal Republic of Germany during the first quarter of 1977 and the comparable figures for the first quarter of 1976;(2) what was the number and value of motor cycles imported from the Federal Republic of Germany during the first quarter of 1977 and the comparable figures for the first quarter of 1976.

Following is the information:Mr. F. Morris Dyson has been appointed Secretary to the Committee.

asked the Secretary of State for Trade why it has taken him a year to appoint members of the Interim Action Committee on the Film Industry; and what is still holding up the announcement.
