asked the Secretary of State for Industry what consultations he will be having with the Union of Post Office Workers before appointing a new chairman of the Post Office Corporation.

My right hon. Friend would certainly expect that the general secretary of the union would let him have his views before my right hon. Friend appoints a new chairman.
