asked the Secretary of State for Trade what was the total value of exports to Chile in 1976; what was the corresponding figure for Chilean imports; and what are the figures to date for 1977.

United Kingdom exports to Chile in 1976 and January to March 1977 were £36 million and £7 million fob, respectively, while imports into the United Kingdom were valued at £81 million and £20 million cif, respectively. These figures are published in the "Overseas Trade Statistics of the United Kingdom" copies of which are available in the House of Commons Library.
