asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what fees have been paid to accountants in each of the past three years in respect of work connected with the Price Code either by his Department or the Price Commission, specifying the firms in each case.

None by my Department. The engagement of firms of accountants by the Price Commission is a matter for the Commission.
