asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he will set up an inquiry into the availability and standard of overnight accommodation for lorry drivers and migrant workers; whether the inquiry will be held in public; and if he will make a statement.

The suggestion for an inquiry into overnight accommodation for lorry drivers generally is under consideration. I refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Brigg and Scunthorpe (Mr. Ellis) on 11th May.
