asked the Secretary' of State for the Environment what action he is going to take to improve the quality of the catering in London's Royal parks, having regard to the statements made by judges of a competition organised by his Department in April this year that this catering was appalling, lamentable and unspeakable.

My right hon. Friend has been concerned for some time about catering in the Royal parks; and the competition in question was part of a campaign to improve matters. He is considering what further action he can usefully take.
