asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in the light of the South of Scotland Electricity Board's decision to change the type of reactor proposed for Torness, he will hold a further public inquiry to take account of the change in circumstances.

Until the current review of the SGHWR programme has been completed and decisions have been taken by the Government. the South of Scotland Electricity Board will not be able to determine the type of reactor for Torness. At this stage, therefore, it is not possible to decide what further procedures may be appropriate.
