asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if allocated money which remains unspent by any of the departments of the Northern Ireland Office is lost to the Province; whether it can be transferred to a department which has overspent; or whether it can be pooled for use in subsequent years.

The resources allocated to Northern Ireland departments may, where appropriate, be reallocated between programmes during the course of the financal year. Unspent allocations may not, however, be rephased to a future year.
