Mr. Michael Latham
asked the Prime Minister whether he will now announce the results of the Government's review of the release of previously classified intelligence material, involving peace-time activities of the security services and allied organisations, which have not so far been published under the 30-year rule.
The Prime Minister
No. The Government will consider what changes, if any, in the present rules governing the release of records after 30 years may be appropriate when they are closer to the point of being able to decide on the question of publication of the Official History of Intelligence in World War II whose preparation is well advanced.
