asked the Secretary of State for Defence by what method the 2p per week is collected from the users of the 3,000 television sets which receive the English language television service which is put out for British troops in Western Germany.

The sum of 2p per day presently paid towards the cost of the British Forces Germany television service by its users is directly debited from the pay of those Service personnel who possess sets capable of receiving the programmes.
