asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his estimate at 1964 prices of the output value of the construction industry for the last full available year.

The value of work done in Scotland in 1976 was £1,453 million in current prices. Detailed price data for the revaluation of work done to 1964 values are not readily available, but trends in the volume of Scottish output can be determined using the index of construction output (1970=100). The latest figures show index values of 83 in 1964, 100 in 1970 and 97 in 1976.
