asked the Secretary of State for Transport what steps he is taking to reduce the amount of heavy traffic using the Al road through Low Fell, Gateshead.

The Al road, now renumbered A6127, through Low Fell, Gateshead, is the statutory responsibility of Tyne and Wear County Council as highway authority and as such any traffic management measures considered necessary to reduce the amount of heavy traffic will have to be undertaken by the county council.
