asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what discussions he has had with the Cricket Council and the Sports Council upon the repercussions upon British sport, if any, of the Packer judgment.

Formal discussions would be premature as it is not yet known whether there will be an appeal against the judgment of 25th November. The cricket authorities are, however, keeping me informed.
