asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will estimate the proportion of the increase in the number of unemployed persons in the last four years which is attributable to redundancies and bankruptcies arising from increased taxation of employing companies.

The relationship between redundancies, bankruptcies and taxation is not readily identifiable but if the hon. Member has any particular case in mind I should be glad to look into it.
