asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the percentage of registered unemployed at the Mexborough and Wombwell employment exchanges, respectively, at the latest available date; and if he will also give the figures for youths under the age of 18 years.

At 13th April, the unemployment rates for the Mexborough and Goldthorpe travel-to-work area and for the Barnsley travel-to-work area—which includes Wombwell—were 9·5 and 6·1 per cent. respectively. There are no separate statistics giving the total numbers of unemployed persons under 18 years of age in the Mexborough and Wombwell areas.
