Mr. Holland

asked the Secretary of State for Employment in how many cases the Government's pay policy was breached by awards of the Central Arbitration Committee in 1976, 1977, and to the latest date in 1978, respectively.

Mr. Harold Walker

I am not aware of any case in which an award of the Central Arbitration Committee has led to a breach of pay policy.
