asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will arrange for statistical records to be kept of the number of student nurses from overseas who, having qualified, obtain suitable employment in the United Kingdom.

Statistics are kept by this Department of the number of student nurses from overseas who having qualified in this country are given permission to take nursing employment here. These statistics are not however published separately but included in the figures shown annually in the Department of Employment Gazette for medical and dental services.
