asked the Secretary of State for Wales what adjustments have been made to the cost yardsticks for the purposes of assessing proposals by local housing authorities since 1973.

The hon. Member will be aware of the adjustments made up to the issue of Welsh Office circular 109/75, a copy of which I sent him. Since then there have been quarterly reviews of the yardsticks based on price indexes, up to March 1978, when the quarterly review increases were consolidated into new tables, and other minor adjustments were made. The revised tables were published in Welsh Office circular 40/78; I will send the hon. Member a copy.
