asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the ratio of doctors to patients in the National Health Service; and what is the ratio of National Health administrators to patients.

There is no way of distinguishing "administrators" from the general class of administrative and clerical staff as there is no agreed definition of an administrator for this purpose.At 30th September 1976, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 120 doctors and 210 administrative and clerical staff per 100,000 population in England.
