asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the identifiable public expenditure per head of the population in each of the economic planning regions of the United Kingdom in each year since 1970; and how those figures broke down into the following categories: social security, health and personal social services, education, libraries, science and arts, housing environmental services, law, order and protective services, roads and transport, trade, industry and employment, agriculture, fisheries and food, and other expenditure.
