asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many local social services departments provide some form of concessions for television licence fees for retirement pensioners;(2) how many local authorities provide some form of concessions for television licence fees for retirement pensioners;(3) how many local authorities provide some form of concession for television licence fees for retirement pensioners.

During the year ended 31st March 1977, 68 authorities in England provided concessions to people aged 65 years and over. Information is not available specifically in respect of retirement pensioners.
