asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what has been the total cost of running the Equal Opportunities Commission for Northern Ireland including all main constituent costs such as expenditure on its own programmes, wages, rent, heating, lighting and maintenance in the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what are the projected costs for 1978–79.

The total expenditure of the Equal Opportunities Commission for the year ended 31st March 1978 was £77,322 and the estimated expenditure for the year ending 31st March 1979 is £88,000.
