asked the Secretary of State for Trade when he expects to receive the report of the committee which has been reviewing the safety of seafarers while at work on merchant ships; and whether he will make a statement.

I am pleased to announce that I have received the report. It presents agreed views of representatives a current authorisation for access to the Palace of Westminster.

My hon. Friend's proposal will be taken into account by the Joint Committee on Security, which is examining the whole question of photo-identity passes.
