asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if, in view of the report by the Price Commission that increases in the prices of maize are almost entirely due to the common agricultural policy and that if purchases of maize were made outside the common agricultural policy there would be a price reduction of about 20 per cent., he will now invite the Price Commission to make similar observations on common wheat, barley, white sugar, beef and veal, pigmeat, butter and skimmed milk powder which are in a similar position.
