asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many deaths were reported in the last three years for which he has information available which were caused by anorexia nervosa.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Eccles (Mr. Carter-Jones) on 20th June 1978.—[Vol. 952, c. 166.]

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services which charities his Department has consulted concerning the treatment and research into anorexia nervosa.

My Department has not consulted any charities about treatment and research into anorexia nervosa. I am aware of a voluntary group, Anorexic Aid, whose aim is to support and advise sufferers and their families and friends.
