asked the Secretary of State for Trade what relaxations have been permitted in the limits on aircraft movements at night at Heathrow during recent weeks; and how many extra movements have occurred.

Aircraft movements delayed as a direct result of the present air traffic control difficulties in Europe are being exempted from the night quota restrictions. Up to and including Tuesday night, 48 such movements have been exempted. In addition, one flight delayed for other reasons has also been exempted.
