asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will set out the sums actually paid to the London borough of Greenwich in (a) rate support grant, (b) housing subsidies and (c) other Government grants during the financial years 1971–72, 1972–73, 1973–74, 1974–75, 1975–76, 1976–77 and 1977–78 together with the estimated payments under the same headings for 1978–79.

The amounts of rate support grant paid to the London Borough of Greenwich in the years 1971–72 to 1976–77 and the latest estimates for 1977–78 and 1978–79 are listed below. Housing subsidies for the year 1972–73 to 1978–79 are also listed below. The figures for the amount of housing subsidies in 1971–2 are not readily available. I will write to the hon. Member about other government grants.
