asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether as a means of saving expenditure on fuel and private vehicles, diminishing the number of private cars on the road and increasing rail and bus usage, he will consider an arrangement whereby a given amount of money per year will be allowed for tax purposes on workers' public conveyance tickets; and to what extent he estimates an arrangement on this basis for a tax allowance of £300 per annum would save costs of expenditure on fuel, roads and injuries on the road.
