asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to publish the results of the measurements of lead levels in urban areas carried out by the Waren Springs laboratory, referred to in his answer Official Report, 12th July 1978, column 654.

The results of the multi-element survey, including measurement of lead levels, at 20 urban sites were published by Warren Spring laboratory in August. Copies have been placed in the Library. The survey of lead levels at the roadside in five cities has now been completed and is being evaluated. It will be published as soon as possible.
