asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the proposed legislation on industrial democracy, he will widen the scope of the study of school education in industrial relations, to encompass the functioning of a firm as a whole.

The Education for the Industrial Society curriculum development project, a major element of which is the study of industrial relations, aims to prepare all secondary school pupils for life and work in an industrial society.
