asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the common fund will be discussed within the current Lome negotiations.

Not directly. Commodity arrangements under the Lome Convention are separate from, though complementary to, other schemes such as the common fund. The Community's intention is that this should remain the case in a successor convention. Participants in the negotiations may of course refer to the common fund in discussing arrangements to which they consider it relevant.
