asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what were the numbers of graduates and undergraduates studying Gaelic and at what levels, in each of the Scottish universities in each of the last three years.

Courses in Gaelic are available only at Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow universities. The numbers of students were:
