asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is prepared to increase the moneys available to local authorities for grants towards insulation in the next financial year.

We have no present plans to do so. The provision is greater than that for 1978–79 and it is far too soon to assess demand.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when the hon. Member for Sheffield, Heeley may expect to receive a reply to his letter of 27th September 1978 concerning the allocation of £430,000 for the insulation of council dwellings in Sheffield.

I hope soon to be able to send my hon. Friend a full reply to his letter.
