asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will prepare an up-to-date table to show the amounts of Members' expenses allowed for income tax purposes against the remuneration as hon. Members.

pursuant to his reply [Official Report,13th December 1978; Vol. 960, cc. 248–9],gave the following information:The table below gives the figures for 1977–78 after deducting secretarial allowances and allowances for additional living costs.
