Order for Second Reading read.
Motion made, and Question proposed, That the Bill be now read a Second time. —[ Mr. Nicholas Edwards.]
3.59 p.m.
The Minister of State, Home Office
(Mr. Brynmor John)
Although I shall not have time to develop my argument against the Bill, I think that it is important enough for us not to pass over it without some discussion.
I shall deal first with clause 3, concerning an elector omitted from the register of electors who is able to satisfy the registration officer—It being Four o'clock, the debate stood adjourned.
Debate to be resumed upon Friday 2nd February.
