asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many persons were killed or injured in road accidents on motorways during periods of poor visibility during the last five years.

This information is not available for all types of poor visibility. From 1973 to 1977 inclusive, 46 persons were killed and 860 injured during periods of fog on motorways and A(M) roads in Great Britain.
