asked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the total number of driving tests cancelled in the current year due to adverse weather conditions; and how this has affected the average waiting time per applicant.

106,800 appointments were thus cancelled between 1 January and 16 February. This will add two and a half weeks to the national average waiting time. The Department is making every effort to provide appointments for the candidates concerned before the normal forward booking date.
