asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will publish in the Official Report a list of those non-departmental public bodies appointed or funded by Government which present then-annual reports and accounts to Parliament.

The information which my hon. Friend seeks is not readily available in comprehensive form, but I will write to him with information, as soon as it is collated, in respect of those fringe bodies included in the survey by Mr. Gordon Bowen, copies of which are in the Library, and of bodies of a similar kind created since the completion of his survey.
