asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what recent representations he has received from the director of the Spastics Society concerning the shortage of intensive care facilities for newborn babies; what reply he is sending; and if he will make a statement.

I have just received a copy of the Spastics Society's report entitled "No Room at the Inn", to which the Department is giving careful study.
