Note:The effects of industrial action have led to distortions in the pattern of trade recorded in the first eight months of 1979. For this reason and because the particular months to which corrections incorporated in the cumulative figures of imports by country of origin for January to September 1979 (168,258 tonnes) cannot be readily identified, the figures for individual months of this year must be interpreted with particular caution. However, the sum of the individual months of 1979 overstate imports by only 336 tonnes. |
