asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the effect on farming costs of the present levies on imported feedstuffs.

If we ceased to apply levies to our imports of feedstuffs, farm costs of purchased inputs might, on average, be 9 to 10 per cent. lower.
