asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if he will list the number and locations of secondary schools in Cheshire with pupils in the 11 to 18-year age group and the number of O-and A-level courses they provide;(2) if he will list the number and locations of sixth form colleges in Cheshire and the number of O-and A-level courses they provide.
In January 1979, the latest date for which information is available, there were 79 maintained secondary schools in Cheshire; 72 schools had pupils on courses leading to O-level or CSE examinations, of which 51 also had pupils on courses leading to A-level examinations. Included in these numbers are two sixth form colleges. The other information requested is not readily available to my Department and I suggest the hon. Member approaches the local education authority for it.
