Mr. Marlow
asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is his assessment of the correct temperature and humidity at which a person should work.
Mr. Mayhew
It is not possible to give a single "correct" temperature and humidity at which a person should work. Statutory minimum and maximum requirements for a reasonable temperature are contained in the Factories Act 1961, Offices, Shops and Railway Premises Act 1963 and associated legislation details of which I shall be pleased to provide to my hon. Friend.
