asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the percentage of unemployed young people in the 16–18 age group in Great Britain and in Strathclyde, Merseyside, Tyneside and London and the South-East, respectively.

Unemployment rates by age are not available except at national level. Following are the available estimates for Great Britain, for October 1979:
