asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has had from the trade unions representing the dairy industry concerning the possible effects on the milk marketing and delivery system of the introduction of imported milk from the European Economic Community.

I have received numerous representations on this subject from many quarters. These include a meeting I had last November with representatives of the National Joint Council for the Dairy Industry in England and Wales who expressed to me their concern at the implications which imports of liquid milk would have for our doorstep delivery service.
